Indoor grow set up:
Lights used for growing seedlings, dahlias, cuttings: we daisy chain garage lights.
Shelving used for growing indoors: We use Seville shelving, most of which was purchased a long time ago for my art room… Most of our shelves are 60” long, but we have other sizes as well.

We buy our propogation trays at our co op, but these are the same dimensions and seem to be similar to what we use:

Potting soil and seed starter: we use Sungro horticultural products from our local growers co op. They also make retail products (Black Gold) you will recognize and can purchase outside of a co op.
We get all of our 4 x 4 x 5 pots (one quart) from our local growers co op. They are from East Jordan plastics.
Oscillating fans used to keep PM (powdery mildew) down and to strengthen stems of new seedlings.
We spray GrowSafe bio-pesticide for PM in our basement grow area.

Landscape fabric used as weed barriers and to kill areas using occultation (lack of sun) for new beds. We do not solarize because it kills the microbiome.
Molasses used in 2025 to improve Brix Scores. Also horticultural dry molasses. In 2026, we will add farm made probiotic/fermented amendments.
We have use Milstop in the field to keep down pests and PM.
Information for cover cropping: check Johnny seeds. We use stock peas, wheat or oats, and dutch clover in the early spring. We add buckwheat in the summer. The fall before we went no-till, we sowed mustard which is a natural anti fungal and helped us get our fields ready.
